Gold Coast for kids - from the weird to the wonderful!

Gold Coast locals will tell you that there is so much more to do on the Gold Coast outside of the theme parks. And while a visit to the four "worlds" (Dreamworld, Movie World, Sea World and Wet ‘n’ Wild), will always poll highly in the Gold Coast family holiday mix, we have rounded up three equally cool things to do with your kids when you hit the GC next.

Freak Show
You know the feeling – you are all theme parked out and are looking for something different to entertain your little ghouls. Look no further than Drax 4 Kids in Broadbeach, a devilish live theatre production for kids aged between 5 and 12. Draculas has long held an esteemed reputation as an after dark cabaret entertainment destination for adults, but kids like to visit the dark side too, so every Saturday at lunchtime, kids can be transported to a spooky fantasy land complete with special FX, vivid imagery, spectacular costumes, interactive entertainment and the best part – a ride on the 3D ghost train. If you want to really blow your kids' minds, take them to the multi-sensory entertainment hub of Infinity. This iconic Gold Coast attraction transports kids (and parents) into another dimension with 20 maze-like worlds to discover that combine the very best cutting edge technology in multi-sensory environments that include unique special effects, atmospheric sound fields, aroma activations, spectacular illusions and music you can actually feel. This is a self-guided attraction, so you can take as long as you like to make your way through the maze. Everybody say "Jump"
Burleigh Heads has long been regarded as the kingdom of the waves, but it’s a new playground that has all the cool kids jumping up and down – Air Factory. This trampoline park is home to over 40 zones, experiences and platforms that encourage you to jump, tumble and spring – from trampolines to monster air pillows, free fall platforms, slam dunk basketball zones and even a mini-me park so the little ones can get their spring on, too. This is adrenalin heaven with all sorts of physically challenging activities to try, including tramps that are angled up walls to practice parkour, long tumble zones for flips, platforms for jumps and wedges for free running moves. There is also the hilarious bubble soccer game, where teams dressed in special protection bubbles can bump, barge and crash into opponents in order to stop them from scoring a goal.
